Requirements to be a head coach

Janitors/maintenance/custodians are full-time employees so they are allowed to coach high school sports and obviously JH

You can't get a certification without a degree. The thing is, if you are a full-time employee then you can coach at the varsity level without it being illegal. But yeah you have to have a degree. If other schools are hiring people without a degree and teaching cert, no wonder education has gone down hill in the public systems. Also the Robin Hood law should be illegal

Hence why I said degree/cert - you work on the degree, then the cert. as far as hiring w/o one or both, the sad reality is there's not enough already-qualified people in teaching roles; it is what it is. The alternative is having no one in the classroom.

Robin Hood is a whole different conversation, LOL. It has good and bad benefits.
