Just my 2 cents, for what its worth. I'm not a coach but I've watched lots fof 6-man football. A lot of times the coach starts calling pass plays to get back in the game. They then go 4 downs and out. With incomplete passes the clock doesn't run, so you only burn off about 20 seconds. I...

Iredell and Oakwood used all of the 40 second clock too. Not sure that has anything on the outcome of the game. But it does make the game clock run. And make the overall time shorter.
