Nope. They didn't play the champion the hardest AND not get 45d....and I don't play A BEAT C, C BEAT B, B BEAT A, ad nauseum....

Just for fun.... In the playoffs Gordon beat #4 Westbrook, #6 Abbott, #9 Jonesboro, #23 Milford, #36 St Jo Without a doubt Milford battled them the hardest. Milford is #2 in my book.

Only a significant importance on stats is needed if the games are played on paper, not the field.

BTW, for a late blooming 6-Man fan, 51eleven knows the game pretty well. Even if he is a Strawn guy....

I don't remember when JV teams became the norm, but early 90s seems right. Gordon did play a lot of subs, sometimes all 6 offense and/or defense. The subs are better than a lot of opponents' starters.

Looks like the 2A,D1 game may need a mercy rule....

Pedigree. There are grandsons of Gordon's '68 Regional Championship team playing now. Their dads did it in '96 and '99. Coach Reed preaches consistency and level emotions. Nothing is as good or bad as it seems. Go to work every play. Have fun.

In the games where they gave up points this season, the opponent scored on their opening possession. Then nothing till a random TD with the game already decided. Except Milford...they scored on their first 2 possessions. Their speed was an adjustment Gordon had to make. Coolest sequence for me...

I know I was not 100% convinced at the true level of this defense just because of the competition. Yes, Milford put up 34, but only 12 on the starting D. When the D completely smothered Abbott and Jonesboro, I knew I was watching the real deal! #unbiasedobservations #hookem
