Weekend Football Hours

After our game each Friday night I will load the film in HUDL and ODK it. We will work from 8ish until around 12ish on Saturday. Most of that time is spent doing laundry, scrubbing water coolers, etc. We watch the previous film and load the films we get from our next opponent in HUDL (that is assuming they aren't using HUDL). If our next opponent uses HUDL we are usually done by 10. The DC and I will meet on Sunday for a couple of hours to finalize game plans.

I get a lot of work done on Saturdays. Usually watching the previous nights game, and watching the game film for the following week. I like to have my scouting report ready to go as soon as possible. I could easily see spending 6-7 hours on Saturday. That way I have all of Sunday off.

Ours is pretty simple. After Friday night's game, we download our film for film exchange. Saturday morning, the coaches meet at 8:00am to start laundry and grade film. At 9:00am, players arrive and watch film. At 10:00am players go to weight room and lift, followed by conditioning. While players are lifting/conditioning, one coach is burning copies of the next weeks opponent for OC and DC. We typically leave by noon. Sunday is on their own, as that is the day the coordinators work on game plan for the followong week. On Monday morning, we meet at 7:00am to go over game plan and make any adjustments. I believe in giving the coaches their Sundays to spend with their family.
