Week 14 UIL brackets.

Follett scheduled a State Semifinal game AROUND basketball???? I guess things work differently out West. Schools in the East are PROUD to not play basketball till after Christmas break!

I too would like to see both D1 and D2 games played on the same day in Snyder. Would be great for the average fan. Unfortunately, if their is a girls bball tourney that same weekend, it would be tough for fans in Follett or GFalls royalty to go to both the football and bball games. So I would say the decision was made for this reason. It also gives the winner an extra day to rest and go watch their next opponent.

Obviously, you've never been to Follett, or just about anywhere else in the panhandle.

Most schools in the panhandle schedule football games around girls basketball games starting in november but seeing how good Follett's girls team is this year they probably didn't want to interrupt progress but hey who knows

Kinda exactly my point. If panhandle girls aren't cheerleading, they're shooting threes in the gym. Sometimes they do both at the same time.

I hate to burst your bubble, but the Panhandle isn't the only place that lays that claim. That's just about EVERY 6 Man School out there. East teams too.
The girls probably work harder than the boys during football playoffs.
Cheer leading.
Basketball practice.
Basketball games.
And let's not forget that the academics don't stop for these things.

There is one quite significant difference that the east is almost completely ignorant of - as evidenced by Longhorn85.

Driving distance.

You guys brag about how nothing would make you reschedule a football playoff game. Yet the same braggarts will whine like finely tuned spoiled brats if they must endure the tortures of a 40 mile bus ride.
