Week 10 Games of The Week

#8 Motley County travels to #10 Groom.

Winner is DII-2 champions. Loser is runner up.

As of now, Groom is a 12-13 point 'dog to MC. Both teams only losses have come at the hands of DI playoff teams.

Groom has come on like gangbusters during the course of the season and outplayed my expectations of them. Motley County is - well - Motley County.

I don't think the Tigers have faced a team that hits as hard as the Matadors hit. But Groom is shifty. And MC doesn't always play their best against shifty teams.

I think MC wins and goes on to play for what will be their 3rd or 4th trip to Abilene.

As an added bonus to al the folks thinking about making the trip to Groom - rainjack will be at the game signing autographs.

While the thought of obtaining an authentic rainjacktx autograph is tempting, I think I'lll travel out to Water Valley to watch the Wildcats take on the Sterling City Eagles for the District 6 title. It may not be the game-of-the-week but I think it will be a pretty hard fought game nonetheless. Sure hate to miss out on the autograph though.

WVB, check most any public restroom wall around the Panhandle Area, think you might be able to pick one up there ….

I'm giving out autographs, not my phone number. Big difference.

Milford Vs. Calvert.....Milford is pretty much already in the playoffs a win gives them a perfect 10-0 season....and the district championship....It also puts Calvert out of the playoffs...Does anyone know how long it has been since Calvert missed the playoffs?

2000, they got 3Rd in their district and missed the playoffs. Abbott and Aquilla got 1St and 2nd.

Mc v Groom is the best matchup I think...but here are a few other games of interest:

Blackwell v Panther Creek...winner goes to the playoffs

Ira v Rotan...for the district championship and Lance Morris may pass Ken Hall on the career rushing yards list

Water Valley v Sterling City...WV proved to be a great team and SC injury riddled...can SC pull off the upset

Cranfills Gap v Jonesboro...for the championship...I would say CG is one of the surprise teams for 2012

Newcastle v Woodson for the championship

Grady/Klondike for the runner up in D I District 4 should be a good one. I think Grady takes it.
I concur OFB, it's going to be a really good game with Grady getting the W.

Biggest Game of the Week!!! IMO

Zephyr Vs. Rochelle

If Rochelle wins, Zephyr who began the year ranked in the top 10 will not make the playoffs.

If Zephyr wins, It will be a 3 way tie with Rochelle, Zephyr, and Santa Anna will one of them staying home...

BIG GAME

Wish I could see the Apple Springs vs. Oakwood game for the district title. It's a great matchup of two East Texas sixman teams. IMO it will be a 4 qtr game that will come down to special teams and defense.
