Water Valley vs. Highland

WV Backer

Six-man pro
The Wildcats travel to Highland to take on the Hornets this Friday night with both teams in search of their first win of the season. Highland has lost a couple of tough ones against Nazareth and Gordon whereas the WV has taken it on the chin from Happy and Knox City. History favors the Hornets in this one with Highland commanding a 5-1 record in six meetings versus the Wildcats, however the WV did win the latest tussle between the two schools back in 2010. The toy has Water Valley favored by one point in this one and it would certainly be nice to see the Wildcats get into the win column. What do you think WV fans? Anyone got an opinion on this one? Any Wildcat fans left out there?

Some of us WV fans are still around. It's been a little ruff going for a bit! Hope the Cats can get a W in Highland. I did hear from someone in know that some players are returning from injury. We shall see if it makes a difference.

A good win for the WV and certainly not as lopsided as the score would make it seem. Highland hung in tough and had no quit in them but a few untimely errors turned the tide against them and they were unable to recover. Asher Rodgers and Seth Demere stood out for the WV while #12 (Richburg) was clearly the best player on the field for the Hornets. Next week we host the Anton Bulldogs at Diddle Young field with an eye on evening up the record at 2-2. More to come on that one later but, for now, good job on your first win Wildcats!
