Whiteface and Westbrook are both picked to win and both stand a chance of being upset.
Some might say everyone but I’m not saying that. Gordon hasn’t been on upset alert this season and won’t be the rest of the season or next season.
This is why the tapps divisions are so much more interesting to me right now! I don’t know how to fix it but UIL has a competition problem. Everyone knew who was winning state in D1 and D2 before 2 a days even started. The tapps divisions have favorites of course but it’s much more competitive across the division. And each division has some very good teams.
Maybe too many teams choosing to remain 11 man when they could be very good if they drop down. Idk, but UIL is wildly uninteresting right now.
I’m just saying it’s more interesting right now… not that either one is doing something to make it that way.

There is a reason they play these games. There has always been favorites and there have always been upsets. Sure the odds appear to be in 2 teams favor. Y’all don’t sound like fans at all, let’s just save everyone time and send the trophy’s to Gordon and Jayton. Too bad to any other group of kids that just want a shot. Now come on with it. I’m ready

I will say I am confident Abbott will handle their business this week, but I also know it's Abbott and Aquilla. Throw the records out the window because I've seen crazy things happen over the years.
Nope been saying this about Gordon since this class were Freshman. Just a special group of kids. They will talked about from now on in sixman circles.
The 1st 2 playoff games in UIL D1/D2 have been very interesting to me. Lots of close games and upsets. Yeah we all know Gordon will win this year and next year. Jayton possibly too. I'm not a fan of the division split but it's way more exciting than private schools imo. I'm biased, no hard feelings. If Tapps,TCAl, homeschool all joined together and created 1 division (why not) it would be interesting to me.
How? Schedule Gordon next season and see what happens?

2. I’m literally just saying that I wish there were more teams at the top of each UIL division that could compete with Gordon and Jayton. The fact that there aren’t any makes the UIL playoffs very uninteresting to me this year. Not saying that the private schools could compete with them either. Just that they are more interesting this year. Tapps d2 in particular has a lot of good teams and a ton of parity, that’s been really fun to watch. D3 has seemed like a crash collision of Wichita and Freddy all year, that’s been fun to follow as well. I don’t think UIL has that this year. That’s all.

I get what you’re saying. But as of now they are the defending State Champions. This year has to be completed and I agree from all the talk chances are they go back to back. Just saying, they aren’t there yet and upsets do happen even to great teams unexpectedly. Now predicting next year is probably going too far for me personally. Some kids peak at different times. Some early, some later. Just never can tell. And from one year to the next things can change in a hurry for other teams just as it did for Gordon.

I think Whiteface takes care of business against BC. The one game that will be very exciting and telling will be WV and WB. I think this one could go either way. Great matchup!
