Six-man expert
Founder
I am beginning to go through schedule conflicts and changes. Please do not post info here. Send an e-mail to sixmanguru at gmail dot com. My first order of business will be to determine conflicts on the schedule and how many games each team has listed.

Thank you all for your patience. The last year was challenging to say the least. I completed 36 hours of graduate school in 11 months, graduating with my Master's a week ago. I have also found gainful employment, working for Dun & Bradstreet here in Austin. Due to a variety of reasons, I will not be starting until August 18.
 
UPDATE: I have deleted all of the duplicate games. This means that if a team had 2 games scheduled on the same weekend, I deleted one of them. It MAY have been the wrong one, but at least schedules should show up correctly now.

Ira's second scimmage is with SC and Bronte; I was curious myself about Bronte.

Maybe the numbers are finally starting to change some minds there and they are going to give 6 man a try.
 
Talked to coach Rawls during bball season and he talked about how low their JH #s were. Seems weird to do it this yr but I guess trying to get a feel before next realignment.

Great question. It is a default that when two games are schedules for the same week, it throws out the rest of the season (so we can find it)... Loop has games against both Sands and Wilson during week 7. Which one is correct?
 
The oil boom seems to be bypassing almost all the small towns. Economic activity may be picking up, but the population is not growing at the same time, as everyone seems to prefer to stay in Midland/Odessa/San Angelo/etc, and commute to the rural areas to work. Farmers do not need the labor they once needed and not many kids are sticking around to farm.

The lights are slowly going out all over rural America, not just West Texas.
 
Of course they want to live in San Angelo, what's not to like? Except for the lack of water, increased oilfield traffic and lack of adequate housing it's a veritable paradise. It's the jewel of West Texas!

I always heard hell would freeze over before Bronte would go sixman. Last year's 2-8 record was their first sub-par season since 2007 and they made the playoffs in each of those interceding years. It's not like they've been on a downward spiral for the last decade and finally decided to give up the ghost and try this "sixman" thing. Still, the proof is in the pudding. Why would they bother scrimmaging with Sterling City and Ira if they weren't at least contemplating the move? I could see them playing a one-and-one with Robert Lee because of the natural rivalry and proximity but a scrimmage with SC and Ira? Hear me now and believe me later, if Bronte does go sixman we'll have another Throckmorton on our hands.
