Summer Olympics

I wasn't sure where this post should go so I placed it here. What is everyones favorite part of the olympics so far. I think the fact that those drummers during the opening ceromonies were sometimes required to wear adult diapers while practicing was a nice piece of information. But seriously watching Michael Phelps get 8 golds was great. Seeing Bolt break the 100 and 200 records was exciting. Did anyone see Michael Johnson react to the 200? I really thought he was happy for Bolt. Did anyone see the coach of the American Silver Medalist Pole Vaulter after she finished. That is a great video to show to coaches on what not to say after a competition, what a jerk. I love the olympics and I can watch just about anything except maybe something with the words synchronized in it. I even watched some badminton. With the trend of clothing in Womens Beach Volleyball I'm thinking they may just eventually start competing like the Ancient Greeks did.

I like the women's volleyball

Bolt is just unbelievable,Never seen anyone who can run like that, Wonder if he can catch a football,
Baseball got wild the other night,USA steam rolls the China catcher, then China's pitcher's hit five USA Players,What i don't understand is China's baseball manger is a American?? How does that work?

Copied this off another message board,,,

Official Sports web pages posted by the Chinese athletic commities have been found stating the true age of some of the girls on their olympic teams.

Once something is posted on the internet, its hard to make it disappear. The Chinese have had search engines try to clear their cached documents but too many people found them and saved the pages before they could be deleted.

If all is proven to be true, the Chinese should be banned from the Olympics indefinitely. It is one thing for an athelete to cheat, but for a government to try and falsify documents for the benefit of winning, well....you make your own decision on what to say.

Now it will come down to the IOC to sort out what is fact and fiction. Either way, this type of controversy is going to give the Olympics a black eye.

The IOC turned a blind eye to cheating by the old Soviet Union and East Germany for many years, so why should those wimps change their modus operandi now? Hopefully, there will be some, like Bela Karolyi who will keep on loudly complaining, but it looks like the western media is cooperating in trying to hush this one up.
