Six Man GOY

GOY? Not so sure!?

Its a given that one of the states top 5 teams won't make it passed the first round of the playoffs. And then next week another top 5 will fall also. Very sad!!

Best of luck to both teams!!

Actually,
I've always thought game 15
was G.O.Y.

Again,
I'm alone in my principles.

Popray...at what point in the season are you asking if the team was in the "top 5"? Not a preseason "top 5" or Week 11 (start of plays) not in the "top 5"

I know 1994 Amherst was not in the top 5 at the start of the playoffs.

Huntress Report (one of a few rankings being used at the time) had Amherst ranked 14th after week 8 in 1994, 9th after week 9, 14th after week 10 and to start the playoffs, 7th after the first round, 8th after the 2nd round, 5th after the quarterfinals and entering the semi-finals (4 teams left standing and ranked 5th), then 2nd to Milford going into the championship game.

So to start the playoffs Amherst was ranked 14th and won state.

and when was the last time a top 5 team did not win a state championship?
2013 #9 RS

While I have the utmost respect for Richland Springs and what they've done, this is NOT their year. Either Follett or Grandfalls-Royalty will win the Division 2 championship.

While we speculate what could be .... we already have had two candidates....

WV v Follett in week 7...

Last week for the District Championship Motley County beat Groom 50-48....
