Six-Man Football Capital of Texas?

Well Dawson County has five teams , i think. Then again odonnell is just a block or two away from the line. No , forget it, dont put odonnell in that. Make it four.

Why don't we just count the number of championships each county has? I think that may be where Bill was headed. Pretty sure I know the answer to that one.........................

Not sure if they're in the same county but they're all kind of close together- Panther Creek, RS, May, Cherokee, Zephyr. All have been power houses one time or another.

Hill County in central Texas has SEVEN sixman schools. Pretty sure that's the most in the state. Makes for some good rivalry games.

Abbott, aquilla, bynum, blum, covington, penelope, and the newest addition is mount calm.

bootleg, are all seven in the same county? brown county has 4 public & 1 privite playing 6 man F.B., in a 40 mile radius of me there are 17 public & 3 privit that play 6 man F.B., if we are talking state title's then San Saba would be my pick. with Cherokee & Richland Springs combining for 7 state title's

Yes, all 7 are in Hill County.

I thought a Capital is usually a city, or in this case a town.
If you are using "capital" as an adjective, one of the definitions is " chief in importance or influence".
This illustrates one of the difficulties people have in mastering the English language; words with multiple meanings.
SA unless I counted wrong it is 8 titles........

So,,,, having not accumulated a lot of working capital in ones personal portfolio by say middle age or retirement could be interpreted as a failure to develop ones intelectual capital at a younger age (like skipping class, partying when studying would have been wiser)??? Nah, too many variables.

Overall this thread is a capital idea though!

And... if we were refering to # of teams in a county as opposed to titles... Does anywhere beat Hill county? Blum, Covington, Aquilla, Abbott, Bynum and Penelope (in UIL).
