Signing Day 2014

I was looking at the Baylor roster and saw 2012 D1 Defensive MVP Tanner Richey from Borden County. Listed as a WR.
Maybe I just missed it being mentioned on here elsewhere. I don't know if he walked on or got a ride. Either way, pretty cool that he's getting a chance in a big time program.

Saw on Facebook from his mom that Dylan Coleman of Apple Springs has committed to playing at East Texas Baptist University. Congrats to Dylan, his parents, Coach Moree, and the Apple Springs community. Dylan will represent them all well!

I know y'all are wanting football but I like to show love to all six man kids. Breanna morales and jassmin de la rosa of dawson have signed to play basketball at sul ross at. I believe one of the girls from Anton is going as well

Yes sir 51eleven, tanner Richey did Walk-on. Has been a great experience. Since he was a walk-on that was added in the first semester, he and a couple other guys, he was not on the roster. He worked on the scout team as a red shirted freshman walk-on. Got to go to the bowl game and get all the pirks that go with it as we'll as keeping his jersey, etc... He recently was sized for the big 12 championship ring that they all. Get for being a part of the football program. Since he is now in spring ball he is finally official as he was given a number and is on the roster. Don't know if or when he will play, but he is currently living a dream. Take care, tr

Sorry, this thing needs a spell check and I need to slow down. He currently is playing inside receiver. Baylor has been amazing to him. Giving a small town boy a chance to live out a dream come true!!!!

Congrats, Trey. My son, Zach Holloway, is going to play basketball next year at Oklahoma Christian University. It's amazing how fast they grow up!

Pretty sure I saw Tanner on the sidelines in that group that jumps up and down. (They jumped up and down ALOT in that game). Even though he was opposite my beloved Red Raiders, it is good to hear he is going to be on the team. Go Tanner!!! (wreck em tech ;)

That's way cool Coach. For him, you, the whole family and community. No matter what happens I'll bet he will treasure that ring for life, and, he's proving for others it is possible.
I may have seen him a week and a half ago. Went to Waco because I'd been through it 100 times but never to it. Driving through campus about 12:30, where are all these cars going. Oh! that's the Ferrell center, must be having a BB game. Driving back towards I35, what's that? Indoor Football Practice Facility (new). Why are all the cars there? Let's check it out.
Gate to field(s) beside it is open, people going in-out. We walk in, second day of spring practice. There's Art Briles with one other Coach off to the side just watching, what they did the whole 30 minutes or so we watched. I was amazed watching Bryce Petty from 20 yards away. The quickness of his release in incredible, and virtually every pass on a rope. All American Marquis Wadley was going after/fighting/jumping for everything thrown at him. They look up to the East, the new indoor facility has "Big 12 Champions" on the side". They look North across the river and the Awesome new stadium is right there, about 3/4 done (?). Has to be inspiring. It was a cool surprise for us.
