The schedule shows the RS and Zephyr game was to be played at Zephyr, but the coffee shop quarterbacks say that the game will be played at Richland Springs. Can anyone of authority confirm this?

Not possessed of any authority, but I was told Zephyr was having problems with their field. Something about small wire coming through the turf.
Game will be in RS.

The Brownwood Bulletin says game is in RS.

In what could be a battle of the eventual two Class A state champions in the state of Texas, the Richland Springs Coyotes host the Zephyr Bulldogs Friday night.

Richland Springs is coming off its state-record seventh six-man state championship, all since 2004, while Zephyr reached the Class A Division I state semifinals a year ago.

The Coyotes have played just one game, blanking Paducah by a 58-0 count in Week 1.

Richland Springs amassed 293 yards — 266 on the ground and 27 through the air — while surrendering 129 yards — 111 passing and 18 rushing — and forcing three turnovers.

Hutton Lusty rushed twice for touchdowns of 60 and 75 yards while Walker Tippie chipped in three scoring runs of 37, 3 and 20 yards. Jordan Burkhart added a 10-yard score on the ground and Cameron Parham rushed for a 9-yard touchdown as well. Through the air, Burkhart threw a 16-yard touchdown to Traven Day.

Defensively, Colt Carlisle recorded nine tackles with three for loss and Tippie and Day each intercepted a pass.

The Bulldogs have knocked off Oakwood, 58-30, and Granbury NCTA, 72-26.

In last week’s win over Granbury NCTA, Zephyr finished with 450 yards of total offense, including 373 yards rushing with eight touchdowns coming on the ground.

William Simpson rushed for a team-best 148 yards and four scores, reaching the end zone from 2, 22, 4 and 10 yards out. Nicholas Moody added 129 yards and four touchdowns on carries of 3, 15, 2 and 15 yards. Through the air, Kason King connected on 4 of 5 passes for 48 yards with touchdowns of 14 and 9 yards to Devin Williams, who finished with three grabs for 52 yards.

According to sixmanfootball.com, Richland Springs is a 45-point favorite.
