Seems Rankin's pretty rank this year. I've not read of their rise to prominence much. This might just be the D1 state game.

Rankin has be playing under dog most of the year. Quietly have knocked off 3 teams that were at one time this year ranked #1 (Garden City, Balmorhea, Borden County) D1 and also a #2 (Sterling City) ranked team. This game IMO will decide the state champion for sure.

I feel like Rankin can win it all, just have to stay focused and not listen to the hype on either side! We’ve enjoyed being the underdogs and people and underestimating us!
