Am thinking of buying new camcorder. Have a Sony DCR-SX45 and works great. Have had trouble playing DVDs that others said were recorded off HD camcorder. What type of player does one need to play HD disks?

I would think it would be a problem with the software used to create the DVD rather than hardware.........

again you can tell what I know. Was told you had to have Blu-Ray player, another said needed a HD player. The software that came with old camera was very simple and worked well. However, you could be correct. I am just trying to get all my ducks in a row before I buy something I cannot use or have the equipment to use. Thanks for the comment.
