I have not mentioned this on the boards because I always saw this website as a bit of an escape for me however I feel that it is a good time to do this. My seven month old daughter Reagan is in Texas Childrens Hospital in Houston. We are waiting to be placed on the heart transplant list. Reagan was born with an enlarged left ventricle and recently her heart deteriorated to the point that she had to be careflighted to Houston. I would appreciate your prayers for my beautiful daughter and our family. If anyone is interested she has a web page which we use to keep people updated. Prayers are being said RIGHT NOW for baby Reagan. God loves the little children and will hear our prayers immediately. The Prayer Warriors are Calling Jesus for complete total healing. Melani
 
My prayers will will be with your daughter, Reagan. God works in mysterious ways. My son was born with a enlarged kidney that was not discovered till 3 months later on 9/11/01 during a routine test. After NUMEROUS tests and 3 surgeries in a two year period, my son is now a healthy 6 year old boy.
 
Just wanted to update. Reagan is on the transplant list and now we play the waiting game. She is off the ventilator and we have been able to hold her which is a blessing. On Wednesday I go back to Angelo and my wife will stay in Houston. I will be doing the Michael Keaton thing and playing Mr. Mom, however we have a tremendous support crew in our church family and friends. I am also blessed with wonderful family in Houston who will be supporting my wife. This makes it a little easier but not much. Please pray for us as we are going through this. One of the things that we have experienced is that there are always people going through worse. It's important to have perspective in a time like this. God has allowed us to be there for others and that has been a blessing for us. Thanks to the Six Man nation for your prayers.
 
As I type this I am in the process of preparing to travel back to Houston to be with my wife and daughter. Reagan's heart function has deteriorated and is currently at 11%. There is a very real possibility that she could have a Berlin Heart implanted. This an experimental machine that has shown a lot of promise. Because of her size it would actually be outside her body, but would keep her stable until a real heart becomes available. Those of you who have kept up with this and have prayed for us I thank you. I have some specific requests to ask for: Please continue to pray for Reagan. Pray for my wife Stacy and myself (Rex if you didn't know). Please also pray for our other three children as they will be in the care of our church family in San Angelo. Also pray for the situation that will eventually provide a heart for my child. I cannot imagine the pain that another family may go through. I know that God could heal Reagan right now. I also know that he could provide a heart. I also know that he could take our child home. Whatever happens pray that God is glorified through this.
 
I would like to see all those who could send some money to the family, you can do this to the school or however. They are fine people and a thing like this is extremely expensive. A few extra bucks to buy the baby something or the other kids a toy, or even a hamburger would be nice. Mustang 76 is a very nice person and he wouldn't ask, but the sixman group is one big family and one of ours needs or could use a little help, no matter who you put it, so help if you can. And yes I did.

The following was an e-mail that I sent to my school last week I hope you will gain from it.

I find myself presently locked out of ICU because a procedure is being done on one of the patients and they have closed it. Stacy is in with Reagan and I find myself out in the waiting area with time on my hands. I thought I would take this time to update you on what is going on. Reagan is still stable and seems to be fine. Of course we have to continue to remind ourselves that she is not fine. She is a beautiful baby who constantly blesses my heart every time I see her. She is talking a lot which she got from me (Looks from Mom and Gab from Dad) and she has charmed everybody who comes into her room. Yesterday the cleaning lady was teaching her Spanish and several of the nurses were stopping by to watch her put on her show. Our pastor speaks Filipino to her so by the time she leaves Houston she will be trilingual. Many of you know my wife and what a special person she is. As we take turns watching Reagan during the day my admiration for her has increased. As you pray for Reagan please pray for her to maintain her strength and low stress levels. I am constantly overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support which has come from everyone. Someday when we reach a point where life returns to at least a semi state of normalcy I hope we can maybe continue to support others who find themselves in similar circumstances. It's a distant dream for now but I pray for that day.
 
My prayers are with you, may you find comfort in God during this extremely difficult time. I know that all of Coleman County is praying for you as well.
 
Today KLST TV came by and did a story on the hearts at Lee. I happened to be standing by some hearts purchased by High Plains Drifter when I was interviewed. Reagan is now out of ICU and back in what they call the stepdown unit. We pray she can stay there until a heart becomes available.
 
Praise God's Holy Name that Baby Reagan will get her new heart filled with Jesus and coming from one of his little Angels that he chose to call back to Heaven to be with him. This little donated heart will live forever in Baby Reagan and will never be forgotten by any of us. Baby Reagan became our baby too and so did the little one donating it's heart. We praise Jesus as he never fails us and pray for the parents of the little one's heart that will beat in Reagan. We ask God to comfort the precious parents that gave their love to Baby Reagan. I pray they know that their little one will live forever.

Please lets be thankful to Our Lord Jesus that Reagans heart will accept this precious little donated heart this morning. She should be in surgery now. God Bless Everyone in this situation. Thank you Jesus. Amen
 
High Plains where do you send donations. I missed this part because of sending updates everyday from Stacy and Rex. I would like to be a part of this wonderful gift of life. I also feel that by donating it will be a great way to tell the parents that gave so much love to others, thank you. It's probably posted but I am Thanking Jesus so much and it's the only thing I can do right now. Thanks ahead for the place to donate. They will get mine.
