OBK - who did Knott consolidate with again...I forget.

Kind of on this topic...if London, TX had a mascot it should have been the Rippers...but maybe Hammer Heads would have been good as well.

Knott would have consolidated with Sands most likely. But it could have been Flower Grove, another school buried in the dust of west Texas.

My local source of knowledge on that passed away this summer, but I believe I remember him telling me that Ackerly took in Knott and a big part of Sparenberg to form the Sands ISD.

Lehman ... London ISD (near Corpus Christi) now actually is a K-12 district and plays crowded field football. Nickname is the Pirates. But they're along the coast, so it works.

My favorite would be the Bend Overs............ there was a school there but it consolidated with San Saba in the late ‘30’s- early 40’s. They didn’t play football but did play baseball and that other roundball game that I won’t name ..............

I was talking about London, TX which use to have a school (think their real mascot was the Lobos) which is actually a little north of Junction. It is the place someone found an ancient hammer that is what they call an out of place artifact.
