Pat Robertson

He's a idiot.....
If true this is very sad.
Even before the earthquake, nearly half the causes of deaths have been attributed to HIV/AIDS, respiratory infections, meningitis and diarrheal diseases, including cholera and typhoid.
France??
Idiot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would be an ignorant and souless wretch to slam someone for stating his belief about spiritual things, mostly because I do not have the same insight and experiences his faith has given him. I do know that with all the "2012" talk throughout the media, even the secular media, such statements are being expressed everywhere.

A quick glance at the prophecies of Daniel, Ezekiel and Revelation seems to lay the premise that someday a similar series of events will happen, and much, much worse than what we see in Haiti. And being a christian I cannot attack anyone who believes in prophecy, especially a man of his rank. It is safe to say that I dont have any special insight into such things, so it would be naive and arrogant to pretend that I do. I know many outstanding people who believe these things are possible, therefore I will respectfully keep silent.

Along the same lines, did you hear what Danny Glover had to say about Haiti? He believes the earthquake is a result of no concrete steps being taken in Copenhagen to stop global warming. I can only assume he is of the opinion that mother earth is punishing the Haitians for bad decisions being made half a world away  .
Satan, God, mother earth or nature, take your pick, someone may be making a statement. Just hope we choose the right one...

I suppose if I was an atheists it would be purely accidental, or the result of weak tectonic plates after a faulty big bang billions, trillions and infinitillions of years ago.

It is refreshing to see a man of faith make a statement without blowing us up with an airplane or shooting us in the back while we fill our dufflebags. And he's not screaming to the congregation "got da_ _ America."

This whole theological discussion is ill advised...I'll be mindful of the many impressionable minds pouring over these pages and return to my tuna-beef and onion burger.

It'd be refreshing if Pat Robertson would shut up with his hate-mongering. This casts the rest of us in a very poor light.

Pat Robertson hate-mongering?
We've got 2,800 dead americans on 911 including 53 elementary students on a field trip and u want to talk about Pat Robertson hate-mongering...
A US army doctor murders 13 fellow soldiers and goes for 30 more...and its Pat Robertson who trips your righteous button...
A nigerian teenager's underwear is loaded to blowup innocent men, women and children flying home for christmas and you want to focus on Robertson...
jihadists slicing off heads in Iraq and Yemen and were worried about an old man's opinion...
Muslim fathers killing daughters and wives in honor-rituals and Pat is the hater?
Extremists blowing up 300 people in an airbus over Lockerby, Scotland and being praised as a national hero and Robertson is the idiot...
Over a million babies aborted every year in the US and 2 and 1/2 million worldwide and your outraged with Mr. Pat's hate-mongering...
A tv personality jokes about an american woman's daughter getting knocked up during a baseball game and we are concerned about a comment that amounts to nothing in the scale of things.

For some reason my christian-american sensibilities aren't phased enough to be outraged over Pat Robertson's interpretation of a terrible disaster of biblical proportions.

Seems like there are more important things to be outraged about.

I don't always like/agree with everything Pat Robertson says. There is a time to just shut up and help those that need helping. That being said, I totally agree with BE. Let's save our indignation for the people that want to hurt others for some religion's sake.

I'm with you BE.

However, Pastor Robertson in MHO should choose a better time to debate the lifestyles of the Hatians. Even Jeremiah and the other prophets (with the exception of Jonah) didn't go around yucking it up when the judgement day came around. Instead they did every thing in their power to stop the coming judgement. Jesus wept as he considered the coming downfall of Jersulem and the deaths of the very people who would physically put him on that cross. Although I haven't heard the whole of Robertson's comments I wish he would have taken an opportunity to shut-up.

And you miss the point entirely. Why am I not surprised?

My friend, my favorite dentist I have refrained from jumping in on this post. I listened to what Pat Robertson said and was furious, but I don't want to stoop to his level in how I feel. God did not kill those people or want those people killed. God is nothing but love and anyone that says different really needs to check out their spirit and listen to God. The Bible tells us there will be earthquakes, hurricanes, famine and bad things to come before Jesus comes. So I can say in my Spirit and after praying so much about what Pat said, I can say he was wrong. And pastors have a strong accounting to our Lord so my prayers are that he will really see and hear God. His blood will be on the people that believe what he says is true. Jesus doesn't kill in any situation. He may take his children home but there is that agreement before he even does that.
