New and wonder about spread

Welcome to sixman Coach... and Granger might be able to try to explain it better, but he has an algorithm. Each teams starts the year at a certain point rating, and then as games progress through the year the points adjust based on performance against the ratings... backdated with a strength of schedule and common opponents. Each week, the spread is based on the current point rating between teams, but never more than 45.

The rankings work on the same point system as the spreads... usually takes 5 or 6 takes weeks to even out after a standard point rating to begin the year...

Algorithms and logarithms. Seriously. Guru is seriously into math.
Each new year get's better as new information is figured into his program which he has refined over the years.
