I looked at Strawn's schedule for a potential early game of the year in the first six weeks before district.
Coach Lee has a death wish.

He has scheduled the number three team in D1 to start the season, Mclean, way out in their country in Jayton. Then they play Gorman and last year quarterfinalist Bryson.
9/21 is last year's D1 state champ, Borden County, now ranled # 2 in D1 in DCTF back in Jayton.
Next week is a rematch of last seasons dramatic DII semifinal with Milford.
If not too beat up by then on 10/5 is # 4 in D1, Garden City.
Next week is current D1 # 7 May.
Then at the end of district he get's to face former student coach of his, State Champion coach and Gordon graduate Mike Reed. With by then likely a salty team. In a game that can always go either way.

It's going to be a great season and we will see if Strawn is the one murdering teams. If they go undefeated I will gladly say they are one of the best sixman teams ever.

I know McLean, Borden County & Garden City all return several players. So they aren't falling off much, if any. Then a team like Milford will be looking to avenge their loss last year. So it's not going to be an easy schedule by any means but Strawn does have the talent and returns a team very capable of getting through this schedule. If they stay healthy and play solid football.

Aquilla has a pretty tough preseason schedule as well. Maybe not as tough as that but it will still be a good test
