I might give them WW1 on a good day... but really Germany ran out of men, food, munitions, etc., so that's not really winning when the enemy has zero resources and has to capitulate. Prior to the Boer War victory, and y'all are going to go bananas, but Britain/Canada won the War of 1812. You did kick our butts in the Battle of New Orleans in 1815 after the peace treaty was signed. It was a complete whitewash down in Louisiana. I've never been able to fathom why America would want to invade and take over this frozen wasteland lolol

Actually sounds pretty good. And I actually really have nothing negative to say about the Canadian or British armed forces other than they traditionally are underfunded and understaffed which Is why I said that they

Unfortunately FCSA, you are completely right about us. We have become the Italians of North America. Turncoats. Y'all have been our allies since the conclusion of the War of 1812 and we've fought side by side against tyrants. However in the last 20-25 years, our government has turned our backs on America. Most Canadians that I know whether it be family, friends, or colleagues completely disagree with this and believe that Canada should have fought along America post 9/11 and not sent that pitiful amount of men and resources. It is a stain on our history that in WW1 and WW2, the United States of America came to support us (and Britain) and yet when America needed us after the Twin Towers collapsed, we weren't there to help in your hour of need. I know the American armed forces didn't need our pitiful resources but we should have offered everything we had in support of the war on terror and we didn't. I do not believe, unless there is a major shift in our government's thinking, that the USA can ever depend on Canada again and for that I am truly sorry. This policy adopted in the past two decades or so by the Canadian government, both conservative and liberal, is pathetic. You hit the nail on the head with your post and there is no argument whatsover from me and many, many, many millions of my fellow Canuckles.

Topher, a request for clarification. The excerpt above begs the question, Is the government a separate entity from the public? Are they truly “of the people, by the people and for the people” or is government so out of control that it forgets that they exist to serve all the people and not to be served by the people?
