I'm glad to see Cruz moving up in the polls, but I think a lot of y'all are missing something about Trump. Everyone, and I mean everyone, is so fed up with the way things are being done in DC that an outsider like Trump is looking good to a bunch of people. Carson and Fiorina have also done well in the polls. Look at who is not doing well. Bush, Graham, Kasich.......the establishment republican leadership.

Ha, Smokey (thanks for that term HP). I think my pessimism may exceed yours. I lost all faith in partisan politics years ago. The President doesn't really have much power. Leadership has become a bad joke. He, or she, is a figurehead. Democracy is an illusion. We live in a Plutocracy. The 1% own 95% of the mass media and tell most what to think in the first place.
