They got pretty good at it I’d say. They went to the Texas Independent Six Man Football Bowl Series ranked Number two, played Number one ranked Tyler HEAT and won and ended up being ranked number one by sixman.com, in effect, they became the first “Official” Texas Six Man Independent State Champion in history.

Morton started the season as an 11 Man team. After 4 games they decided to go to 6 Man next year. The DEC AND UIL gave them permission to play the rest of the season as an Independent Six man team and play any games they could arrange to play. sixman.com picked up the change and ranked them as an Independent.
They finished the season ranked number 2 and played Number 1 Ranked Tyler HEAT and won, in the first Texas Independent Six Man Football Bowl Series, Morton becomes the First Independent Six Man Football State Champion.
Morton is located Northwest of Leveland, close to the New Mexico border.
They will be moving to a UIL District next season.
