POPCS is hosting the Lonestar Lineman Challenge on campus on June 17th at 5:00 PM. There are 3 different division sizes based on school size/numbers/anticipated competition level. Would love to see some more six man schools out there competing with us! Here is the information:

LONE STAR LINEMAN CHALLENGE
The Lone Star Lineman Challenge is proud to be going on its 19th year of competition. We take great pride in making sure we have one of the best events in the State. This event will be an opportunity for your LINEMEN to showcase their abilities as a team, in drills specific to their position. Drills such as Sled Flip, PowerDrive Push, Bench Press, Farmers Walk Relay, 1-On-1 Harness Pull, Sled Drive, Agility Run, Bobsled Push, and Tug-’O-War. Competition is the key to success!

There is a minimum of 5 athletes per team. You can have as many as you want on a team, however, only 5 members compete per event. You are welcome, and encouraged, to bring more than 1 team. Competitors MUST be OL/DL/TE/LB type athletes only. Athletes need to bring gloves, sunscreen, towel, cleats, water and anything else they may need. There will be a trainer, water and concession stand on site, however, you are encouraged to bring your own water. The cost is $150 per team. Athletes must pay with cash only. Schools may pay by check. Payable to: Lone Star Lineman Challenge. Entry fee is paid at the registration tent at the event.
