KWTX Sports Friday Magazine

So today while on lunch I stopped in at the CEFCO for a drink here in Marlin and I saw that KWTX put out what appears to be a weekly Friday Night Magazine. So I picked one up and took a gander.... Much to my surprise not 1 six-man school was listed. WT_? I’m rather disgusted...

If you want to look for yourself, you can pick them up at your local CEFCO. According to the magazine that is the only place they are available.

At least it was free, but not even sure it would make good for starting a fire in the ole chimney.

My wife brought me one home from work and I thought the same thing. It's a joke how sixman is looked over especially now that every big city in the state has schools that play sixman.

Ok, So I did some investigation and used some of the tools from the League. Namely my county spreadsheet.

This is what I found

I live in the Waco/Temple/Bryan, Designated Market Area for KWTX, there are several other market areas. I just went off my area since thats where I found this Magazine.

Within my market area there were 20 Counties; Bosque, Coryell, Falls, Freestone, Hamilton, Hill, Limestone, Madison, McClennan, Miliam, Navarro, Robertson, Williamson, Burleson, Brazos, Lee, Burnet, Lampassas, Mills and San Saba.

In those counties there are 23 6-man teams (my list is old and there may be more); Oglesby, Evant, Lometa, Coolidge, Mullin, Buckholts, Calvert, Richland Springs, Cherokee, Aquilla, Abbott, Penelope, Bynum, Blum, Mt. Calm, Covington, Walnut Springs, Iredell, Cransville Gap, Kopperl, Morgan, Jonesboro and Oakwood. Not to mention one of those is on the list for the most State Football Titles..

It seems to me they could have put atleast 1 page in there somewhere about 6-Man. I mean he!! they put the Dallas Cowboys and the Houston Texans in there (Don't get me wrong I love my texas teams but before 6 man that whole page was just a waste of space)!
