It's just a scrimmage.. but, Gordon V Thorck

So tomorrow evening 8/15... Gordon will be playing at Throckmorton for the first scrimmage. This will be former Gordon Coach Shane Mallory's first coaching stint since leaving Gordon 2 years ago, replacing Mike Reed, from my same Gordon Class of 95', and should be interesting. Though T-Rock is now in a lower division, I look forward to reports from this game. I wont be able to attend because I will still be in Africa until Oct 2. Also, My son will be making his debut as a freshman! Go Horns!

I really don't think the lower division will matter. Still just 6 out there for each team at a time. From reports I have gotten Throckmorton is solid this year, I have not heard anything about Gordon . I will have to get in touch with my contacts in that area if the state

Just another DOD contract.. buy hey.. its been better than Afghanistan.

#3 Marine son spent 60 days in Djibouti last fall on his MEU. Then port stops in Mombassa, Oman, and Qatar.

Poor Marines are the only ones on the Camp here that don't get to wear civis when off duty. I have been told that is so they can identify each other easier and correct each other!

I am intrigued so I am going to go watch this scrimmage . I can't get any info on Gordon as all of my contacts down there moved .... So I will go see for myself

Well I went and watched and was very impressed with Throckmorton . The greyhounds pretty much had their way with Gordon . Ones on ones Throckmorton had 4 scores Gordon had zero. The Gordon 2's scored once and the total of scores was Throckmorton 9 Gordon 1 I think .. Gordon is a very young team for sure might be a tough road for them this year . Looking forward to keeping up with these teams this year
