Hermleigh Head Football Opening

Hermleigh ISD is taking applications for the position of head football coach. Other duties will include assistant basketball and head track. Six-man experience is preferred.

The teaching field is technology applications or 4-8 generalist.

Hermleigh pays $7,000 above base, a $6,000 coaching stipend, plus 10 days. Low rent district housing will be available as well.

Just wanted to let my coaching friends know that I am staying at Hermleigh to teach and still coach softball. Our superintendent will be the athletic director. I just made a personal decision to spend more time with my three kids (ages 2, 5 and 7). I absolutely enjoyed my time last season as head coach, it was just obvious that my own kids need me to be around more that I was capable of as HC/AD.

Hermleigh is a great place. We have a great board, admin and supportive parents. Our students are one of the best behaved group of kids you will find. We have little to no discipline problems. They are hard workers and in the past couple of years have really begun to put in the work to be successful. We also have a great football staff with two energetic assistant coaches that are tireless workers and team players. You really couldn't ask for a better place to work.
