Help! Save me! I don't wanta go!

We need a Varsity game for October 14/15.
If we don't get a game my wife said we are going to the class reunion.
Help! Have mercy! I need a game!
Call 979-203-6765

Yeah, too long, even meeting halfway.
But thanks anyway. However if you know a person that could tell me a good yarn about they had a last minute cancellation for the 14th, then call me about 3 on Friday afternoon and say the bus broke down and they couldn't make it, that might work! It would be too late to go then!
Yeah, that could work. Wouldn't be like the first time it happened, if you know what I mean?

Take comfort in the knowledge that all the girls who wouldn't give you the time of day while y'all were in school are probably old, fat and ugly now while you remain a lean mean and vigorous young man...........
Just keep telling yourself that and everything will be just fine............... or not...........

Check with Crowell

We do have two bye weeks. Long trip though.

Speaking of long trips... I was perusing the teams in various districts and came across D1, D16. Huh?
I'd googled (Gilmer) Union Hill when Coach Mallory moved there as I've known him slightly for several years. When I saw High Island in the same district was the Huh, followed by a What? I had to verify my thought by checking Rand Mc Nally's mileage calculator. 253 miles for a district game. A 500 mile round trip. With stops a 10 hour trip? The kids will be ready to get off the bus when they get there. They might need a little extra time to loosen up.
I know West Texas teams regularly travel close to 100 miles or more for games but this really surprised me for East Texas.
If the Bulldogs get there early enough this year maybe they could go for a run on the beach to loosen up.
Do they maybe spend the night somewhere? Or at least have a decent bus?

Smokey you are close. Actually I found out many years later that the reason they wouldn't give me the time of day was because I was the Janitor's son.
Little did they know he was the best dad on the face of the planet.
Anyhow, Uncle called and said I won the lottery (drafted). And I went away for 4 years, 9 mos. and 26 days, but I really wasn't counting. My Uncle said he would take care of me.
Anyhow now we are all 67 and I have something they don't have.
A 16 year old son!:).
I'm old enough now I don't lie about my age....
I Brag about it!
Let em weep! I'm good!
Thank God for unanswered Prayers, huh.
Anyway, I would still like a game for October 14/15.
Still lookin' for a little Help here!

Still amazing to me. I never traveled over 30 miles in an old "yellow dog". Can't imagine 4 hours plus on one.
