Gustine Football

2 kids moved, a few others quit because of a new policy, and some want to start practicing for basketball. It looks like they may have enough to play. We will just have to wait and see.

That's a shame we went through the same type of thing a few years ago here in Oglesby but finally it cleared out all the bad weeds and we have a strong core of dedicated great young men that are taking the field and giving it their all year round and the results will show this season I promise. Stay positive in y'all's community and support ALL the kids because the ones they need y'all's support the most might be the ones that get looked down on and you don't know their situation we were all young once just advice I've been there.

I was at a school that had the drug testing policy, I was there for six years and had the policy all six years. Ten kids were randomly chosen each month. We had about 95 students in high school. Any student involved in ANY extracurricular activity was subject to the possibility of drug testing, FCLA, UIL academics, NHS, to basketball players. The kids knew it was coming. To my knowledge, didn't have any drug problems within the school. Outside of the school, it was a whole different story.
