When did Groom move from 11 man to six man football? I was in conversation with a man that played on Groom's state finalist 11 man team in '75 that lost to Big Sandy in the final Class B game. He mentioned early 90's when Groom moved back to the six man game. I was searching for the exact year as looking back on Groom's schedule years ago it is difficult to determine the exact year as many of the teams Groom played as 11 man are now six man schools as well.

Groom played 11 man ball from 1923 to 1938, 6 man 1939-1945, 11 man 1946-1995, then back to 6 man ever since.
