Games of the Week

Well of the games I said to watch...mainly because I thought the spread was way off or the team picked would not win

First 3 I thought the spread was way off but right team was picked to win

Blackwell v Blanket...was hoping Blackwell would win big...Toy favored Blackwell by 7...Blackwell wins by 14 (toy off by 7)

Strawn v Gordo....Toy favored Strawn by 15...Strawn wins by 45 (toy off by 30 points)

New Home v Grady...Toy favored Grady by 5...Grady wins by 48...(Toy off by 43 points)

These games I thought the wrong team was picked to win by the Toy

Lueders-Avoca v Aspermont...Toy picked Aspermont by 13 points...LA wins by 47...Toy off by 60 points!

Bloomburg v Longview Trinity...Toy picked Longview by 1 point...waiting result....

Mt Calm v Avalon...Toy picked Avalon by 45 points...Mt. Calm won by 6...Toy off by 51 points

Rising Star v Panther Creek...Toy picked Panther Creek by 45...waiting results

One game I thought was a true toss up but was picked to be a blow out...

Loraine v Hermleigh...Loraine was picked by 45 by the Toy...well Loraine did win but only by 7 points...Toy off by 38 points

I don't know how much faith to put into the toy. I too had a post this past week of the games of the week and mine were DC and Valley and the other game was Blackwell and Blanket. I went to the game that was closer for me to make and watched Blanket and Blackwell play. Leman you were correct in that Blackwell should have won by a larger margin and game was not near as close as the final scored showed. At half time the score was 34-6 Blackwell ahead. Then a couple of starters for Blackwell got the injury bug and were side lined in the second half and played on a limited basis. I have to give credit to Blanket that they fought hard the whole game. Game should have been over in the 3rd quarter by the mercy rule in my opinion. So even though toy was close in the prediction you are correct Blackwell should have won by a lot more.

Living in Central Texas I had to choose between Live Oak vs Calvert and Waco Methodist vs Buckholts.
I had seen Live Oak several times this year and decided to go watch Waco Methodist vs Buckholts.
Great game and effort by both teams. Waco Methodist could have ended it in the 4th but just ran the ball and it appeared at the end that the Buckholts coach wanted to get out of there asap and the teams did not circle and pray at the end.

Happy to hear that Blackwell was in control...I have them ranked #7 in DII on Dave Campbell's texasfootball.com and feel good about placing them there...

Welp Bloomburg 45 Longview and Panther Creek forfeited to Rising Star...rounding out my games of interest
