Fracking

Is Fracking where the big trucks come in on an owners land and beat the land to see if there is oil or gas? I'm not sure if I'm on the right track but my husband went to bed late Friday night at the lease and he felt a rattle on the land. Then about 10 minutes there was a loud bump, two of them. So he grabs his pistol and goes out to have a look and nothing was there. No Cows or Hogs. Were trying to figure out whether this was something the land did or if there could be something else.

No, that is seismic testing. They bring in thumper trucks to set up sound waves through the ground to look at the geology below. Used to use dynamite, but this is cleaner and safer.

Fracking requires drilling a well first.

Smokey...behave, Ole Bearkat will that make a trailer rock and can you feel tough bumps after fracking has been done? This has been done for about 2 years ago. The rolls and bumps on the outside of the trailer has us concerned.

Fracking will not do that.

15 -- 2.6 to 3.8 quakes in Texas in last 3 weeks.. North and northwest mostly

Like I said, small ones. Subsidence earthquakes have been a fact of life in Texas for over 100 years. I Illinois it's the opposite problem, the land is still rebounding upwards from the last ice age when there was over a mile of ice on top of us here.

We have our frackin and our wind turbines going whump, whump, whump. Hell we lucky if Texas don't sink
Smokey yall seen all the turbines in the Golthwaite plateaus

Ahhh yes the scenic vistas of mills county......you can see em good from Pecan Grove...... San Saba wouldn't agree to the transmission lines so the put em in to the north. Mills county landowners wouldn't let the construction companies have a place to stage so we got that along with every rent house and trailer spot filled...... We may have the better of that deal ...... For once......

We hunt at Throckmorton. What led us to believe it was from the land was No trees, cows or hogs. To me if that's the result of drilling or fracking that's too much for me. I would of had Butch do exactly what he did cause there was no where for me to run. I am a chicken. I've seen the boar pigs and sows killed off that land and I don't want to be a football field from them.

My Aunt lives in Golthwaite. I hope she's not feeling all theses rocks and bumps. Bearkat I would move because what if the ice isn't growing up..
