Forgotten Great Six-man Football Games

Ah yes I was at this game. The Amarillo Globe News did an outstanding job covering sixman during these times. It was a huge deal because it was FE’s first time making the playoffs and winning a district championship. Then upsetting #1 Whitharral in the second round.

They did have a picture on the sports page of when the QB let go of the ball and he was clearly behind it. Im sure the article and picture of it are lost and can’t be found now. Regardless it was a great game to watch!

You’re probably right about it being lost. I’d love to see it if it was floating around somewhere, though. I’ll be the first to admit that video I posted isn’t the best footage.

No luck so far, but I did find this interesting article from January 2003 in The Wheeler Times. “Ft. Elliott Shocks Six-Man World”

One that gets forgotten about today due to the scoring now, but was probably the best I was a part of was the 102-100 Throckmorton vs May game in 2008. 5 OT. May lost on a missed PAT. At the time, it was the highest scoring game in history.
