Elbow Brace

If I have to wear an elbow brace, do I have to put a soft cast around it or any type of pad? It would be a similar design to a knee brace. Thanks for the help.

Does it have any metal brackets or such?
The idea of padding such devices is just to protect all from injury by violent contact to the brace.

Dog is right. Anything metal must be covered with padding.
