Covington AD

I was told, by a previous coach, that the facilities are nice, administration is good, but the boys are lazy. In his words "they would rather drink and chase girls than study and workout".

Sounds like a great job for a coach who wants to step up and make a difference. Challenging.
That's funny.
They had a good guy for several years
trying to make a difference.
This position was open last year too.
Now a one/done.

Really think it's the coach
that needs to be different?

Nope, but the coach WILL be different than last year, that's pretty well established. Whether or not that's what NEEDED to happen is irrelevant at this stage. I believe that a one/done does nobody any good. But moving forward, a coach that will step up will have to be backed by the admin/school board/town or they are just spinning their wheels. If that's not the case, just fill the job with someone looking for a pay check, and the job will probably be open again this time next year.

Dogface to Covington...AD/Head Football Coach..
This is what I love about you guys!
Actually,
this is the second year I haven't heard a hoot.
(A hoot...get it?)
I didn't actually apply this year
but I made a big play for it last yr.
Nothing.
A smart school would quit this revolving door junk
if they counted the cost of replacing personnel each yr.
From a purely business perspective
it's expensive.
