Looks like Booker will be playing 6man next year as an outlaw. They should have done this years ago but it’s a good addition to 6man.

Here are their UIL numbers from the last 10 alignments:
2022 106, 2020 103, 2018 89, 2016 99, 2014 109, 2012 104, 2010 104, 2008 98, 2006 95, 2004 107

Not sure how many of those were transfer students. 2004 the six-man cut-off was 99.9, cut-off did not increase 104.9 until the 2014-15 realignment. According to the TEA enrollment reports their 2023 Senior Class had 33 students, so they probably knew they would be above the cut-off for this latest realignment.

Based on the 2022-2023 TEA enrollment reports by grade, their enrollment for the next five realignments will be below the 104.9 cut-off: 2024 99, 2026 98, 2028 88, 2030 97, 2032 102. It kind of makes sense to get a head start on going 6-man seeing those numbers. Also makes it easier when you are losing to Boys Ranch....

I’ve said it before, Texline (won’t), Hartley (won’t), Kelton (won’t too small), Adrian (won’t probably too small), Pringle-Morse (probably won’t), Channing (too small), Boys Ranch (numbers at falling, but doubt they would).

Will fit nice with Follett, Miami, and Darrouzett

When they become part of a district Miami, Follett, and McLean could go either way D1 or D2. I think McLeans numbers are up right now but same with Miami (somewhat). Miami is the only town in Roberts County and has maybe 500 people now. It was close to 700 when I was in school…

If Miami, Follett, and McLean dropped below the cutoff to D2. Bookers closest district game would be White Deer, Claude, and Valley.

Miami current enrollments have them above 63 students through the 2028 realignment. Current enrollment figure have them at 56 students in 2030, and 52 in 2032. Follett 62 in 2024, 67 in 2026, at most 54 in 2028 (both their 4th and 5th grades have less than 10 kids), 49 in 2030 and 32. McLean had 19 eighth graders to go with 17 11th graders so 63 in 2024, 57 in 2026, 52 in 2028, 63 in 2030, 60 in 2032. This all supposes no move ins or move outs.
