Just did a quick check of the rankings and found several 0-0 teams here in week 3.

If anyone knows if these schools are playing (and have played any games this year, including games against JV teams), let us know ..

RANK - SCHOOL
140 - Athens Christian Prep (we know they aren't playing)
252 - Corsciana Agape (we know they aren't playing)
258 - Weatherford Christian (not the home school team)
248 - Dallas Williams Prep Charter
263 - Dallas The Winston (not playing 2012)
261 - Crowley TCHE Home School
257 - Odessa New Way Home School/Coop
191 - Darrouzett HS (not playing 2012)
245 - Star HS (we know they aren't playing)
255 - Benjamin HS
NR - Humble Christian Life Center (played last year but haven't seen anything on them this year; this is a different school than Humble Legacy Christian)

I'm going to go through my scores and list some teams with just one or two games played. I know Gholson and Tioga are playing primarily JV schedules and we have only one score in week 0 or 1 for each of those two schools.
 
Okay ... a lot of these are scheduled BYES, but I wonder if some of these schools actually played games on these weeks. If you have any information on games PLAYED, post it here (date and score would be helpful).

Again, a lot of these are probably bye weeks. But I wouldn't be suprised if there are more than a handful of games we missed (either against other schools on the list or a JV squad). And there could be some I just screwed up and listed in error.
 
Dallas The Winston - I checked their website and they have nothing on football at all - jv, middle school or varsity - and other sports the web site has schedules so my guess is they are not playing
 
Melissa CHANT is fielding a JV team this year and playing mostly a JV schedule, but have had 2 Varisty games on our schedule so far, these are results for first four weeks-

Week 0 Melissa CHANT -v- McKinney Cornerstone Christian (Varsity) -Loss 27-26 (OT)
Week 1 Melissa CHANT -v- Dallas Covenant (JV)- Loss 27-7
Week 2 Melissa CHANT -v- Canyon Creek Christian Academy (Varsity)- Loss 40-2
Week 3 Melissa CHANT -v- Wylie Prep (JV) Win 43-36

Granger's rule (which seems to have worked out pretty well over the years) is that if you have only one team at your school, it's the varsity team ... even though it primarily plays a JV schedule.

In most cases, it's because the team is in its first couple years of play but since there are so few schools with full JV squads (especially among private schools and some home school groups), you end up playing at least one or two true varsity squads. And it allows sixmanfootball.com to be the "archive" of your team's early days.
 
I had seen in an earlier post that Darrouzett was not playing this year. No reason was given, but I'd give good odds it was lack of numbers.
