After this Friday, many of the Seniors will have teary eyes as they remove their helmets for the time. From fighting for a spot as Freshman to leading their teams, they will finally complete their football careers.

They have been taught life lessons. They have formed a bond of brotherhood for life, and memories forever. I remember trying to haul butt to the locker room so my fellow teammates wouldn't see me cry.

I hope you enjoyed your careers boys. For those of ya'll staying home, with no shot of playoffs, just know you have sstill accomplished something. If you are injured, still know you have helped lead the team.

And at 7:30 this Friday, the Epic Finale of your 4 years will finally come to a head. And as you walk away from those lights forever, just know your cleats have stomped where they will never be forgotten. Your body will ache for years, and know it was worth it.

You must release this magic of chilly friday nights, and long practices in August. But you can now look back and know your life wouldn't have been the same without football.

And now you are forever an alumni to your school. And when your son straps on his helmet, congratulate him all you can. As football doesn't last forever.

Play hard. Knock heads. Enjoy it for us old guys who can't play again. As we all miss it.
