Week 7 Player of the Week:
Rowdy Bradley – Aspermont – 25-313 yards, 9 TDs rushing; 1-1 for 45 yards, 1 TD passing; 15 tackles, 1 fumble recovery.

In the biggest game of the year for the Hornets to date, Bradley turned in a 300+ yard and nine touchdown rushing performance, as Aspermont defeated Throckmorton 80-30 in district play. The super sophomore also recorded 15 tackles and recovered a fumble on the defensive side of the ball.

Honorable Mentions:
Zack Winder – Aquilla – 16-253 yards, 4 TDs rushing; 2-2 for 34 yards, 1 TD passing; 14 tackles
Winder went wild on the ground for the Cougars, as they accomplished something no Aquilla team has done since 1988…defeat arch rival Abbott via the 45-point mercy rule. His 253 rushing yards led both teams and his 14 tackles on defense were equally important against the rushing attack of Abbott.

Isaiah Sampson – Dallas Lutheran – 11-221 yards, 3 TDs rushing; 58 yards 2 TDs passing; 1 TD receiving; 80 yards INT TD.
Turning in a big night offensively and picking off a pass deep in the opponent’s end zone and returning it the length of the field for a touchdown Sampson enabled Dallas Lutheran to handily defeat Plano CHANT 74-24.

Wyatt Mote – May – 4-5-0 for 139 yards, 4 TDs; 1-19 yards, 1 TD receiving; 4 tackles, 1 fumble recovery, 1 INT
In the Tigers most impressive win of the season, QB Wyatt Mote turned in an amazingly officiant passing performance for May as they beat Knox City, 62-12. He threw just five passes, completing four of them…all for touchdowns, and racking up 139 yards for 34.75 yards per completion. He also caught a touchdown pass, recovered a fumble and picked off a pass on the defensive side of the ball as well.

Gerardo Gonzalez – Medina – 13-242 yards, 3 TDs rushing; 3-6-0 for 54 yards passing; 1-30 yards receiving
With huge touchdown runs of 60, 45, and 50-yards Gonzalez help Medina stay on top of a scrappy Abilene Christian, as the Bobcats remained undefeated on the season.

Wyatt Young – Jonesboro – 15-280 yards, 4 TDs rushing; 3-7-0 for 66 yards, 1 TD passing; 1-34 yards, 1 TD receiving; 14 tackles; 2 KO returns for 78 yards 1 TD
In a high scoring battle with Oakwood, Young averaged over 18 yards per carry as he rushed for 280 yards and four touchdowns. He scored a touchdown, receiving, on a kickoff return, and threw a touchdown pass as well. His 14 tackles were also key for Jonesboro in their 78-61 win over Oakwood.
