Post Larry Uland will leave Greenville Christian
I've been asked to post this on behalf of my friend and brother, Larry Uland. I know the Lord will guide him as he continues his coaching career ... and more importantly, his career of building strong young Christian men and women.

Our Lord has blessed me with 16 special years of sixman football at Greenville Christian School. I will not be returning to GCS next season. Our school has continued to drop in enrollment as it has for several years now. Like many corporations in this day and time, GCS must “downsize” and consolidate.

It is my hope that I will be coaching again somewhere in the area fairly close to my home in Farmersville. Sixman has been, is, and will be a big part of my life.

Great coaches / friends and some great young men with whom I have been blessed to work with have made this time very special. The competitions with the U.I.L. coaches and those in TAPPS taught us how to play Sixman the right way. Honor God, Improve and Win when you can – have stood the test.

Speaking of great friends / coaches – I have had the greatest assistants surrounding me throughout my time at GCS. Dan Uland (Coach U2), Kelly Garrett, and Captain Jim Johnson have been with me from the start and have always been rock solid. Bobby, Hayden, Todd and several others have made major contributions to our successes. And, then, there is David Wombaker. For 16 years, David has not only been a great friend, but, simply put, - the very best 1st Assistant coach a man could have.

May our Lord continue to grow and to bless Sixman football throughout our great state.

Thank you all for a great ride.

Coach Larry Uland

I guess I don't get it.
Even if they are down sizing;
they can't get rid of anyone else
but their world class coach?
Seriously?

Dog ... Strange things happen in the world of private schools. I said once that Larry started coaching about the time my momma cancelled the diaper service for me and my sister and it wouldn't suprise me if I'm wearing diapers again before he ends his coaching career. By the way, Larry started his coaching career at Granger's alma mater ... Alamo Heights HS.

Thank you Coach Uland for showing us sixman coaches, young and old, how to do it with character, class, and Christlike attitude. You are are living example of how to coach to make a difference in the life of young men. May the Lord bless you in your next opportunity to Coach for the master.

Hey Coach,

I'm sorry I never got to compete against one of your teams. It was always a pleasure to have you guys come play here in Waco at our place during the play-offs. I have always said since meeting you about 4 years ago that "you are one of the best in many areas." Please let us know where you land so we can maybe come and spend some time with you and learn more from you about life and football. Thanks again for all you've done!
