 My First Frito Pie
Dear Great State of Texas,
I understand that I am a Canadian and therefore am detested by some on here. However, please read this letter addressed to all Texans and the state itself. Early this morning, I decided to make a large pot of chili in the hopes of producing my first Frito Pie. Unfortunately, Wolf Brand is unavailable here. Come dinner time, my wife, my old college roommate who is visiting this weekend, and I sat down for our first Frito Pie. Lots of Fritos, a pot of hot homemade chili, PBCP, tons of jalapenos, and a plethora of raw onion.
We love you Texas. My wife and I want to quit our teaching jobs here and move to whatever ISD will have this available on a weekly basis. My old roommate who is a high-rolling investment banker in the Toronto financial district would take a job selling tornado insurance in Texline if it meant he could get a bi-weekly fix of this delicious concoction.
If anyone wants to send me a can of Wolf Brand chili I would greatly appreciate it. I want to do Frito Pie justice because if it was this good with my homemade chili, I cannot imagine how much better it will be with the staple Wolf.
Satiated in the far, far north, topher80

Congratulations topher! Now you can understand why we critique the c-stand frito pie so harshly.

Trust me when I say this. Even your frozen North Yankee for the Yankees home made chili beats the hades out of wolf brand.

 Re: My First Frito Pie
Use freshly shredded cheddar. A little cheddar, a little chili to melt it, graced with a little more shreadded cheddar, onioins, halpenos, to taste.

Ofb, I understand your need to disgrace the wonderful food we know as chili by adding beans, but please try not to do it too often.

Ohio yankees desecrate chili by putting it on spaghetti, though to be fair, their weaka$$ chili is almost tasteless and probably needs the noodles to give it more flavor.
