Ira won. It was the winning handicapped section. You're kinda testy this morning. Are you the same wv player that was on the receiving end of the monster stiff arm last night?

No. I assure you I would never been thrown down like that. Surprised the ref didn't flag us for something on that.

If you were, you were probably seating in the handicapped section! My daughter is handicapped does it make any less of a game? Hell no you need to check yourself WVPLAYER ...... Thems fightin words

You started out admitting to being out-played, not ready, run over, stunned, couldn't recover, some boys laid flat (mental game). Just stop right there. But, you go on to WHINE like a typical SORE LOSER. Everybody needs to understand, that to the better teamon any given night it matters not one bit what the other team does.

Re: Hammer Drops On Dynasty in Blackwell
I don't know why it is that some of you (paulbunyan & WestTexasSixmaner) keep wanting to lump me in with the dumb@$$es that were doing all the trash talking. The trash talkers were TotalAccess and WVPlayer (mostly). I challenge any of you to find anything disparaging or derogatory that I have said about any of Water Valley's opponents this year. ANYTHING!! Along with SimplyPut, I tried to get the trash talkers to zip it and show some class - to accord the Ira Bulldogs the respect that they have earned by playing excellent football all year. This, of course, was to no avail.
No Sixmaner, I wasn't the one controlling the horn on the WV side. That's not my gig but I know the guy who was and he's a pretty good dude. So leave it alone.
Yes bunyan, Ira brought their A game just as I told You that they would. As a matter of fact my exact words were - "I seriously doubt that anyone thinks that the Bulldogs WON'T show up with their "A" game. After the year they've had why would anyone expect any less?"
You two especially just don't get it. Your gloating over TotalAccess and WVPlayer (obviously immature kids) puts you squarely into the same category.
Now on to the game...
The Ira Bulldogs played an outstanding game all around but that Lance Morris (#12) is a certified difference-maker. He reminds me of Josh Colunga from Garden City the last couple of years (although I don't think Colunga played defense). Just an outstanding running back and defensive end. I was kind of hoping he might get worn down by playing both ways but he was in high gear all the way to the finish. I'm not saying he's the second coming of TE but he's pretty darn good and the Wildcats just had no answer for him. Not that he was the only Bulldog that played well, but he really stands out. I'm proud of the way Water Valley played to the end and didn't just pack it in when they got behind. It will be tough to replace some of that senior leadership (Glass and Tamplain especially) but don't shed any tears for the Wildcats, they'll be playing good football again next year. They've got some good young players that can hopefully fill the void and, provided they can stay sixman, they should be a force to reckon with for a few years to come.
There was good sportsmanship on both sides - although I would prefer that the Ira coach not be the 7th man on the field - and the facilities at Blackwell are top-notch. I just hope the teachers at Blackwell are seeing some of that windmill $$ too.
I picked Water Valley by 14 so I will admit my error there but it was always a cautious optimism anyway. Good luck to the Ira Bulldogs the rest of the way although I don't think they need luck with Morris lugging the pigskin. You've got to consider them the favorites the rest of the way though Borden County, Valley, and Throckmorton might have something to say about that.

Hey Backer, I don't think the coach on the field accounted for the Ira margin of victory. Sounds like excuse making to me.

Re: Hammer Drops On Dynasty in Blackwell
Hey bunyan, why do you keep referring about home grown? We get an occasional transfer but none to speak of that has been a difference maker the last couple of years. Jealous that we have so much talent we are able to sub so much? I can assure you that is a result of coach o's ability to develop talent. Already stated we have gone from laugher to contender in less than a year. Have always had the kids just needed a coach that could put it all together. Year two will be scary good.

West Texas Sixmaner, 528 words of text and that's what you took out of it? 111 words of praise for the Ira Bulldogs and that is the best you can do? One comment about the coach being on the field and you extrapolate that? Dude, you are truly as stupid as your posts make you out to be. My apologies, all along I've been dealing with an idiot and just didn't see it. Fear not Sixmaner, I will accost you no longer with big words and logical thought. You are a moron and will be dealt with accordingly - that is to say I will ignor you and your inane comments.

Re: Hammer Drops On Dynasty in Blackwell
I think what he is referring to is that your state champion volleyball team contains GIRLS that have grown up or around Water Valley. Your BOYS teams talent consist of kids of people hired simply for their children. They are not truly water valley people. In fact, it was just a few years ago that WV laid people off...suddenly now they have double the administration and people in position with no experience, but they have athletic boys.
Guess it goes to show you that growing up together is stronger than "buying a team."

Re: Hammer Drops On Dynasty in Blackwell
Im sorry but depth didnt do a thing last night. A few of the Ira boys played every play last night and was still ready for more when it was over. Ira's conditioning is amazing. But yes WV does have an advantage over most sixman teams in this region being they are a few steps from San Angelo. I do hope you guys get to stay sixman and maybe we will see ya'll next year becuase if you payed any attention to the Ira roster last night, Ira is going to be very scary next year as well so watch out!!

Re: Hammer Drops On Dynasty in Blackwell
That pretty much sums it up sixmaner. Everyone in west texas remembers the Christmas cut in the valley of H2O. SURELY the supt/school board wouldn't overextend the district....again. Of course some people will do anything to win. The expense doesn't seem to be paying off just yet. Perhaps the roundball dynasty....I hear that was the original plan....will last longer than the history making football dynasty did. Time will tell. I guess everyone else can just sit back and watch.
