 Re: Overkill vs. Everyoneplays
Well, well, well...
Looks like the ole Gordon Longhorns didn't get the memo on your prediction on page one, Dogface. Not only did they not get 45'd like you predicted, they won! 57 - 50. How you like them apples? I really do not understand fellow coaches bashing other coaches by making ignorant predictions such as yours on page one. You must not know their coach. He's one of the best. I also witnessed the same bashing before Motley County beat, I say BEAT, Garden City. They said the MC coach isn't as good as the Garden City coach. Well, what do you think now folks? We as coaches put our job in the public eye more than any other profession. We get criticized by everyone for our team not tackling well, or not making it on 4th down, or not having a good spread rush, or countless other things that go on during the course of a game. We as coaches do not get to go down to the local gas station and yell from behind the fence, "You're not pumping that gas right". Or to the local grocery store and stand beside the cashier and yell, "You're not sacking those groceries right". We put our job "out there" for everyone to say each day that, "they could do better". That goes for every coach. Including you! So why would you make ignorant predictions? Oh, I see, to get your post count up. You must have a lot more time in your coaching field than the two coaches mentioned above. I'm not trying to ride their jocks, but both of them are very close friends of mine. So remember from now on, while you are posting on this message board, the two coaches mentioned above are game planning to whip your teams tail end with their team. With that being said, I've got to get back to my planning.
Congratulations to both of these guys and their teams. I'm sorry I posted this but just got tired of reading certain crap said by other coaches. I won't hide behind a screen name either.
Thanks, Reece Walker

Wow Reece you sure have me pegged.
Except, where I said Strawn would 45 em. Didn't. Said they would trounce them. Which they did, in the first quarter. (Unfortunately that was all the trouncing they brought).
Except, the coach bashing. Didn't.
Except, not knowing Shane. Do.
Except, not understanding the public scrutiny. Understand it very well and include it in my planning phase.
You are right about telling other employees how to do their job! I do exactly that if they try to tell me how to do my job!! Most people get a kick out of it, and see my point immediately!
You had a decent rant overall. Good grammar at least. Dude, showin my team love, isn't putin the hate on yours. Try to have some fun! You're not that good to get that mad.
