Contradictory? Kudos on getting the spelling correct, but you need to learn the definition of the word before throwing it out there to impress your friends.

I don't offer opinions. I'm 100% fact-based.

I think you need to look up some definitions yourself. I think you have "opinion" and "fact" mixed up.

Oohhh, I like the name sparky. As for a fanboy, I guess 3 state championships in 6man qualifies me for that. Thanks rainjack. Since your 100% fact based, I'll send you my book on Marathon so you can really learn what fact-based is.

Marathon, Texas? Last time I was through there, Melba's Bar - the only thing worth going to Amrathon for - was shut down...as well as just about everything else.

And for another thing,
I don't think JH games should
be ended by 45'n unless all boys play.
So there.

(What happened in Marathon)?

Should be short, anything longer than 150 pages and I'll be dragging that out. Dogface, to answer you, Marathon is one of the more Historic teams from the early days of 6man. Winning two state titles and going a total of 5 times from 73-77.. A buddy of mine that post on here sometimes, and probably the most fact based person I've ever met, and I are trying to wrap this up and get it out to yall. About the '76 Mustangs that had to play a 11 man schedule-due to location-and ended up winning the 6man state title. It's actually a really cool story that draws you in.

They did play one 6 man game with Loop to tune up for the playoffs.

Post Re: Overkill vs. Everyoneplays
Read most of this thread its a very interesting situation.

We have 23 jh football players
They all play 6th at half time if possible have been winning big but doing whatever necessary not to 45 someone.

In JH its not necessary. To my knowledge there are no JH state titles, and you will eventually need some of those other kids.
Our coaching staff knows we have already been in situations where we could have been in trouble (this season) our 1st team is solid, salty, and has decent size, but last year we played WS and they kicked our teeth in, played all their kids and we both got better.

All I'm saying in JH play all the kids you have if at all possible avoid 45ing someone leave all kids their dignity, but let them know you gave them a Whoopin' and go on.

Great thread though interesting debate.

With only 9 players suited out, it's understandable to end it early whenever possible. If you have 12 or more, give all the kids a chance to play. It'll pay off later.
