 Does Veribest have a chance? Im seeing all this talk on facebook how Veribest needs Eden to upset Robert Lee for them to make the playoffs. The way Im seeing it that even if Robert Lee were to lose they would still have the tie breaker over Veribest. Am I correct? Just trying to see who else will represent our district after my Wildcats took care to business last night!!

Re: Does Veribest have a chance? If the district comittee decided to use the head to head in case of a two way tie, then the school that won that competition would be the school to advance. If they decided to use the point system it would depend on a point system which they had discussed in their meeting!

Re: Does Veribest have a chance? I'm pretty sure it's a moot point Wild, Eden has no chance of beating Robert Lee. Even if they did, why in the world would Veribest go over RL when RL beat them?

Re: Does Veribest have a chance? Like I said, it depends upon how the district voted to break ties. They can choose to go with the head to head or a point system. Usually its the head to head for a two way tie. But some districts I have been with in the past do it with the point system. Might try to ask the coach of one of the schools what the district minutes say about tie breakers.

I guess I should have asked if anyone knows the tie breaker for this district as folks from Veribest think they have a shot.

Re: Does Veribest have a chance? Well, quite frankly it doesn't matter who finishes second in district 8 because the winner of district 7 is going to dismantle them like a tornado does a trailer park.

I agree, Backer!... I hope that was a new field under construction that we past in Veribest last night. They could use the old field for...say..umm..outdoor bowling, that danm thing was hard! Backer didnt see you at the game, to cold for ya? lol

Re: Does Veribest have a chance? I was there with a buddy of mine. We were off to the right (as you face the field) side of the visitors bleachers. With no track around the field you can get pretty close to the action and some of those Veribest kids can HIT! They may not be the most talented team in six-man football but they'll darn sure hit what they can catch! Problem is, they didn't catch too many Wildcats last night. The way I understand it they are in the process of constructing the new field that we all drove by. Who knows, we may have witnessed the last home football game ever on that field.
