 Cowboys sign Leonard Davis
I saw this guy in high school and he's definitely the largest human being I've ever seen.

Too much money for a lineman who has not really done anything, the thing that worries me is that Arizona RELEASED him, how good can he be if he is being released by Arizona? i think Smiley Jones fell in love with the fact he can play guard and tackle. Hopefully he can get here and do a little better than he did in Arizona.

ESPN has reported that the Cowboys have also signed Brad Johnson. It's a three year contract, about 3.5 million for the first year. That seems a little high just for a backup.

I think Brad Johnson is a good thing,Wouldn't surprise me if he plays quiet a bit, with Romo running for his life...I hear the Davis Kid has a lot of lazy bones in his body,He has the size,Now he has a huge pocket!$$$

Given my general distaste for all things dallas cowboy, I am hoping that jerries' latest acquisitions fall flat and they finish dead last in the NFC. Same with the Titans, who were my favorite team back when they were the Earlers.

Comeon Bearkat,Tell us how you really feel!
For me during the good ol days with Tom Landry,Our whole family would plan around the Cowboy game,We even had a Cowboy antenna that was at least 30 ft.tall with a amlipher turned toward Tyler for those blacked out games.
I don't really care for Smiley Jones,Best thing he ever did was Hire Jimmy Johnson
Now we Have Wade Phillips son of Bum...so Charming :(

I met Leonard when he was still at Texas. There is a 1/4 mile race track close to Wortham and he was there. I was either a junior or senior in high school( racing my stock s-10 it ran high 18's not to shabby) and he was there. Super nice guy I bet I bugged him for 15 minutes about everything from Ricky Williams to how much he benched, and he was just as polite as i was intimidated. Biggest man ive ever met.
And yes he wasnt exactly the kind of blocker that he should have been, but he also was playing for a team that has lived off of mediocrity. Playing in his home state only an hour from his hometown I think he will turn it on and be the missing piece to the puzzle
And OBK how could a conservative like yourself not like Jerry Jones and the Cowboys??? I thought he and the organization stood for all things republican

No POlitics, just family!! :D
My detestion of all things dallas cowboy comes from the rabid fans within my family, my mother's side in particular. They lived and died every Sunday for the cryboys, and, being the contrarian I am, out of reaction to this I became anti cowboy. There are individuals within that organization I do admire, (NO not smiley), Roger Staubach, Randy White, Tom Landry, Bob Lilly, to name a few.

I saw Leonard Davis play basketball at the state tournament in Austin. He was incredible. Wortham had two other guys who could play and Davis just hung out under the basket. Nobody else could get a rebound.
There was one play on offense we he set a screen and the poor point guard for the other team came around and WHAM! and splat onto the floor. Leonard felt so sorry for the kid, he stopped to pick him up even while the ball was still in play. The guy was and is massive.
While he was at Texas, he could be seen at all sorts of events, just watching. I sat next to him at a women's swim meet once (my wife swam at Texas, she has two national championship rings for the effort, so we go often).

Yeah i remember talk that they had to replace the goals in Wortham after Leons Senior year. I had a waco newspaper clipping i kept for a while that showed a picture of him bear hugging a refrigerator off the ground ( about 3 feet off the ground).
OBK I was just givin ya h*ll, my Dad is the same with Baylor thats why i detest them so much.......no nevermind its because theyre horrible. Courtney Paris OWNED them last night again. she really is a beast. she might be the most dominant (i mean dominant by physicaly punishing, her game is tight but not the best) low post in Womens NCAA history. She is the knew, Round Mound of Rebound, From now on shes Courtney Barkley
