Can Craig James gripe about Coach Leach's ethics?
It sounds like Craig James (of SMU Pony Express fame), doesn't like the way Mike Leach treated his poor baby boy. Does it strike anyone else as odd that this "story" didn't break until right before the bowl game? Is D.A.D (Dumb A$$ Daddy) trying to revive his flagging sports commentator career? Can a guy who made more money playing college ball than he did when he was a pro complain about a coach's (or anyone else's) ethics? How many people think that ESPN is gleefully spurring that pony for all it's worth? I think my opinions are pretty evident from this post, what does every one else think? UT and A&M fans get after it.

Re: Can Craig James gripe about Coach Leach's ethics?
the bad part about this is, is that it didn't got as the way the James' said it did. James wanted a release and wasn't granted it, so this is his out. and now Tech admin has a clause in a contract worth $800,000 due to Leach if he is still the Head Coach of tech on december 31st, this suspension will negate that clause. This is also a way for the administration at Tech to fire Leach with cause and not owe him anything. This whole situation reaks of sleaziness and Leach and the Tech fans are the ones that will be hurt the most about this.

If this ends poorly, I will not be renewing my season tickets next year. Gerald Myers needs to go.

Squeek, (thats the apple box sliding out) How in the heck can Craig James have any credibility. The gentleman who along with others brought the death penalty on SMU, cheater, cheater, cheater. Yes, I know that SMU is not the only one that did it, but they got caught and got a former governor to lie about the whole deal.
Anyway, to the incident in question, Leach probably screwed up with the shed deal, but what bothers me is are the trainers going to be fall guys in this deal? Hope not !!!!
Have read also that James wants out, wants to go to SMU and another poster on another board said SMU sure hopes not, they don't want him. Whatever, happens do not think it will bear well for the Red Raiders. They are not my favorite team and have not been since Leach ( I have friends that work with the athletic program), but hate to see a program that have improved as much as they have get the shaft because of some stupid people.
Adios and Vaya Con Dios
Squeerk, the apple box goes back in the corner.

Craig James is an idiot, and Gerald Myers does not like Leach...The way I figure it, Leach is a roasted duck right now...and I for one hate to see it as I am a HUGE TECH fan...James needs to go, Myers needs to go, and Leach, if dismissed, will come back to haunt all of us TECH fans!

Drifter - I think you're right about Myers. He was one of the best bb men TT ever had, but after the 3rd year as AD, I thought he was the absolute worst. Leach is one of the only real fb minded coaches Tech has had. We need to keep him and cut James and Myers loose.

Re: Can Craig James gripe about Coach Leach's ethics?
I haven't heard the whole quote, so I really shouldn't speak about it, but I will anyway. I've heard tell that Leach has compared Craig James to a little league D.A.D. Having coached little league, I can say this all sounds very familiar. I can also say, from having coached little league, that I'd hate to have to feed my family by coaching. You guys out there coaching for a living are really a special breed of people who are worthy of all the accolades you can get. Or, you are partaking with the UIL monkey.

It sure looks like Gerald Myers is trying to get out of having to pay Leach that $800,000.

Re: Can Craig James gripe about Coach Leach's ethics?
The question is Can Craig james gripe about Coach Leach's ethics? No he can't due to the fact the way he preformed off the field with SMU,Was SMU punished OH YA and everyboud knows the answers. Did coach Leach committ these alligations I don't know and neither do none of us, but if what is going on is true then yes he does deserve to be fired, though many of you may not agree, Leach has brought the program up to some national recognition, and it may continue to grow but like i said if what leach suppostly did was true, then that has no place in any program, and you can bet this,Recruiting has just taken a major hit, no momma in Texas if hearing about this type of treatment is going to let her son go and play for a program that is doing that.

What ever the facts are Texas Tech football will pay the price starting with the bowl game. All of this was soooo mishandled some heads have to roll now. A real shame.
