 NCAA D-3 Championship Well, I got the DVR set ... for the fifth straight year, my alma mater, the Warhawks from Wisconsin-Whitewater meet Mount Union (Ohio) in the NCAA D-3 championship, the Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl. Game is on ESPN2.
This may be the "strongest" rivalry in college football. The two teams have met for the last five years in the championships, with Mt. Union up 3-1 (Whitewater's win was in 2007).
Maybe somebody can remind me ... wasn't the Stagg Bowl used to be played in McAllen?

Also, it's now on ESPN Classic. Took me a little time to find that on the cable ...

Re: NCAA D-3 Championship No, when I was getting ready to work for Trinity, I traveled with the team up there for a playoff game. Let's just say their arrogance and the way the NCAA officials (ADs from nearby conferences of theirs) let them break every game day rule for the playoffs was enough.
Ask any school that has played them in the playoffs and they will feels the same. The general thought is anyone but MU.
