Week 11 Player of the Week:
Isiah Hood – Wellman-Union – 611 Total Yards of Offense, 53 points scored
Hoods full stat line: 11-426 yards, 6 TDs rushing; 5-5-0 for 105 yards, 2 TDs passing; 2-80 yards, 2 TDs receiving; 11 tackles, 1 fumble recovery; 5 1-point PATs scored

Hood took over the game against Grady, in what decided the district runner-up spot. His 611 yards of total offense is second highest total for a single game in 1A this year. He averaged an eye popping 38.7 yards a carry, 40 yards per catch and 21 yards per completion! Not a bad night of work.

Honorable Mentions:
Traytan McLain – Nazareth – 279 yards, 5 TDs passing; 189 yards 2 TDs rushing; 7 tackles
McLain scored with six seconds left in the game to give Nazareth the 47-46 win over Anton in the district championship game. He accounted for 468 yards of total offense and had a hand in all seven Swift touchdowns.

Dalton Weatherford – Morgan – 7-7-0 for 178 yards, 4 TDs passing; 10-164 yards 4 TDs rushing; 3 fumble recoveries, 16 tackles
Morgan made the playoffs for the first time since 2001 with their district runner-up victory over Walnut Springs 93-70. Weatherford proved a jack-of-all-trades, as he was a perfect seven-for-seven passing for 178 yards and four touchdowns, while also rushing for 164 yards and four touchdowns. Defensively, he picked up three fumbles and recorded 16 tackles.

Joe Sanchez – Blackwell – 19 tackles, 1 TD reception
In a defensive battle, every tackle counts, and Sanchez led his team in tackles and also caught the game winning touchdown with seconds left in the game, to help Blackwell win 35-34 over rival Highland in a game that decided the district 7 championship.

Ethan Parson – Spur – 20-235 yards, 7 TDs rushing; 12 tackles; 1 KO return TD
In a must win game for Spur against a hungry Rotan team, Parson scored eight of the Bulldogs 10 rushing touchdowns for ‘seven’ and returning a kickoff for another, in their 77-49 win.

Tye Scogin – Jayton – 19-326 yards, 5 TDs rushing
With his 326 yards and five touchdowns rushing, Scogin helped lead the Jaybirds to a victory over district rival Guthrie in their district championship game on the final day of the regular season.
